AZVS Program Director

Ms. Nagajothi M is a seasoned development professional with over 10 years of experience in the disability and inclusive development sector. She currently serves as the Program Director at Ashraya Zilla Vikalangula Samakya (AZVS), leading multi-state program implementation across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

She holds a Master's degree in Governance and Development from Gandhigram University and is a Gold Medalist in her program. Her academic journey is strengthened by her research focused on Tribal and Scheduled Caste communities in hill areas, reflecting her deep commitment to social equity and grassroots transformation.

Ms. Nagajothi began her professional journey working in Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programs and child-focused sponsorship initiatives. Over the years, she has built strong expertise in program management, inclusive education, livelihoods promotion, accessibility, women's empowerment, and community institution strengthening.

As a strategic leader, she oversees large-scale initiatives focused on empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), ensuring access to education, employment, healthcare, and social protection. She actively builds and strengthens employer relationships to promote inclusive job placements for PwDs, fostering corporate partnerships that create sustainable livelihood opportunities.

She is also one of the Trustees of Adecom Network, Puducherry, contributing to collaborative development efforts and sector-wide capacity building.

A certified Trainer of Trainers (ToT) on the POSH Act, 2013 (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace), Ms. Nagajothi actively promotes safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive workplace environments within the development sector and beyond.
